The Airdrie RCMP General Investigation Section is investigating a home invasion and assault May 29 at a residence in Woodside. One man has been arrested and charged, while two others remain at large, according to Constable Curtis Peters.

“We’re not going to disclose the injuries (sustained by the three occupants of the home),” Peters said. “I can’t give a whole lot of detail on this incident.”

Jack Buckely, 20, of Airdrie is charged with robbery, break and enter, assault with a weapon and assault causing bodily harm. He was released from custody and appeared in Airdrie Provincial Court on June 16. The outcome of that appearance was not known by press time.

RCMP has issued a warrant for the arrest of Ethan Faulkner, 22, of Calgary. He faces the same charges as Buckely. Anyone knowing his whereabouts is asked to call local police or CrimeStoppers.

A third suspect remains at large and RCMP, according to Peters, has not determined his identity. He is described as Caucasian, in his late 20s to early 30s, balding or with short, light-coloured hair.

RCMP has released a composite sketch of the suspect based on information provided by the victims.

“If anyone can help us to track down Ethan Faulkner or knows who the third suspect is, we’d really like to know that,” Peters said.

Traffic Stop

Airdrie RCMP responding to a call about a suspicious vehicle at the Airdrie Urgent Care Centre May 24 got more than they expected when a search of the Ford Truck turned up a stash of Psilocybin or magic mushrooms, a .22 handgun, 9mm magazine and two stolen license plates.

According to a release issued June 13, five people were subsequently arrested and face a total of 32 criminal charges, including numerous firearm charges and drug charges.

Charged are Michael Ghostkeeper, 31, of Calgary, Trent Linklater, 26, of Calgary, Leia Bent, 27, of Crossfield, Nona Wells, 28 of Standoff and Jade Terry, 18, of Airdrie. All have also been charged with possession of stolen property over $5,000.

Vehicle Thefts

Airdrie RCMP is asking for the public’s help to identify two suspects wanted in connection with the theft of two Land Rovers from a city residence.

RCMP was notified of the thefts by the homeowner June 9. The vehicles were in a garage at the residence. According to a release issued June 13, the suspects forced their way into the garage and stole the vehicles, which had been left with the keys inside.

The stolen vehicles are 2008 and 2010 models of the SUV. The 2010 was subsequently recovered in Red Deer.

Suspects were seen in the 2008 model using a Speed Pass on the keychain to get gas at a station in Calgary on the evening of June 9. They were caught on video surveillance footage, which is being reviewed by RCMP. The Speed Pass was also used in Revelstoke, B.C. on June 10.

Gas and Dash

A man driving a stolen truck filled up at the Airdrie Co-op Gas Bar on Sierra Springs Drive May 24 and left without paying, according to Airdrie RCMP Constable Jason Curtis.

RCMP is looking for help to locate the suspect who is described as Caucasian, in his late 20s to early 30s with short brown hair. He was wearing a grey golf shirt with a black stripe, dark blue jacket and dark pants.

The stolen vehicle, a black 2000 Ford F-150 pickup truck, was subsequently recovered and returned to its owner, according to Curtis.
