On April 14 at about 1 a.m., Airdrie RCMP was dispatched to a hit and run in an alley behind a residence in Sagewood.

Police said the resident of a neighbouring home was awakened by a loud disturbance.

When she looked out her window, she saw debris in her backyard.

Police arrived on scene shortly after and determined a vehicle had collided with a stand-alone garage and then left the scene. Three other vehicles were also damaged during this incident.

Evidence at the scene indicates the vehicle that hit the garage was dark red and sustained severe front-end damage mostly on the driver’s side of the vehicle.

Damage to the garage is estimated to be more than $5,000.
