Dear Editor, For all of you who complain about the roads, snow plow and sanding truck operators please remember, while most of us are snug and warm in our homes, the City of Airdrie’s workers are out in all weather conditions working day and night to making the roads safe to drive on. These men and women work outside in extreme cold, but that is not the only safety hazard they face. They also have to deal with those who don’t turn their car headlights on in poor conditions, manoeuvring around stationary and moving objects – including people – slippery roads and poor visibility. Another thing to remember, piling or pushing snow onto the road is against the law. The City worker who is working hard to clear the road and puts that snow back on your driveway is not the problem. The City worker can and will call Municipal Enforcement and you can get fined. So, how about instead of swearing, yelling and giving the middle finger, you give them your respect and co-operation. How about being appreciative of what these men and women do so we all can get to where we need to go safely. Kristle Potts Windsong
