Continued concern surrounding Canada Post changes

RE: "Mail delivery changes frustrate residents," article, Oct. 30 Dear Editor, The roll-out of the new rural addressing system has involved more than frustration and empty mailboxes. Keys have been provided to customers that don't match the boxes assigned to them. We then have to wait in line again to get keys that will unlock our mailbox. More disturbing than that, however, is that mail is being delivered to the wrong boxes. Two weeks’ accumulation of our mail was in a neighbour's mailbox. And someone else's mail was delivered to our box. No mail addressed to us has been delivered to our new mailbox, yet. My bank won't accept my new address when I attempt to update it. Amazon won't accept our new address for delivery of purchases. This situation is a complete fiasco. Canada Post has been totally incompetent, with no evident quality control protocol. The integrity of the mail-delivery system is seriously compromised. If they wanted to ensure a smooth transition, they should have paid a lot more attention to the details. Bob Anderson Division 6
