The Town of Irricana will hold its 10th annual Women’s Health & Wellness Conference Oct. 23 at the community hall.

The Town of Irricana will hold its 10th annual Women’s Health & Wellness Conference Oct. 23 at the community hall.

The event features vendor tables, displays, a lunch and four speakers including Monica Knight, a community developer and PhD student at the University of Regina.

“She will talk about what it’s like to live in a smaller community,” said Cathy O’Donoghue, community services officer of Irricana.

“It brings different ideas to a community.”

The event has steadily gained interest over the years and more than 60 women have registered so far for this year’s event.

There will be two morning sessions followed by a lunch and two more afternoon speakers.

Topics from presenters range from nutrition nuts and bolts, dressing right for your body type, and coping with stress.

“It’s just a fun day and the women come out, enjoy, relax and just learn things about their lives and how they can make improvements,” said O’Donoghue.

“It’s all about enhancing well being… and how you can do little things to change it to make it easier.”

To pre-register, please visit the Town of Irricana office at 260 1st Ave. before Oct. 20 at 4:30 p.m.

Admission is $25 and to book a vendor table is $10.

Space is limited and people are encouraged to register early.
