Ford is manufacturing more cars than ever

In the past, Ford was accused of pulling out more trucks than cars. Well, a quick look at what Ford has been doing lately will surely prove the opposite.

Indeed, Ford has quite an array of cars of all categories to offer to its Canadian customers in 2010, with more on the way.

First of all, the totally new small car that will soon be showing up in dealership showrooms: the Fiesta.

A sub-compact, four- or five-door, front-wheel drive car that will be built exactly the same way around the world.

And yet, while it is still offering a North-American-only version of its Focus, expect an all-new international version of the car to reach our market (in the distant future).

Ford has quite a winner with its 2010 redesigned Fusion, an all-American front- or all-wheel drive sedan, available with a four-cylinder engine, a V-6 or a hybrid powerplant - a car that has already been recognized as Car of the Year by some organizations.

Motorists who are looking for a bigger car are sure to take a look at the all-new Taurus, a very modern-looking full-sized sedan that is also available in an SHO performance version.

The Taurus is also available with all-wheel drive.

The Flex CUV could almost pass for the station wagon version of the Taurus.

In the CUV segment as well, Ford is offering the already very popular Edge front- or all-wheel drive wagon.

Finally, those looking for a very sporty car are bound to have a look at the slightly-revised Mustang, which will soon be offered with a more than 300-horsepower V-6 or a potent 412-horsepower V-8 in its GT version.

The Shelby version will be even more powerful!

Ford is still going very strong with its trucks, including the still very popular F Series, the legendary Ranger pick-up, the great Escape, the Explorer, the Explorer Sport Trac and the Expedition SUVs, the also legendary E-Series van and the all-new Transit Connect delivery truck.

The Fiesta could very well be Ford’s next greatest hit.
