Airdrie resident Antonin Koprnicky can’t stop smiling after winning $289,654.10 in the June 25 Lotto MAX draw.
Koprnicky redeemed his lucky ticket at the Main Street Shell, June 27.
“The Saturday after the draw, I went back to the Shell with my daughter to check my tickets on the self serve ticket checker. I was quite surprised when I saw the prize amount,” he said.
“My daughter gave me a big hug.”
Koprnicky said he plans to pay some bills and possibly go on a vacation somewhere hot.
“I am already a happy man. I have a healthy family, a house and a car,” said Koprnicky.
“This money makes retirement more comfortable for my wife and me.”
