Cooper’s Crossing is the site of Airdrie’s first million-dollar showhome.

Local developer Copper Rock Homes couldn’t be happier with its product and used Airdrie-based Marre Design Firm to design the house.

Step inside the showhome and it’s impossible to miss the custom wood finishing and a towering natural rock fireplace with imported stone from Montana.

McArthur Fine Furniture accents a living room and its 18-foot coffered ceiling complete with wooden slats.

“It suits our product,” said Steve Seiler, marketing manager at Copper Rock Homes. “Higher-end furniture for a higher-end home.”

Kitchen-Aid appliances and walnut flooring surround a high-end eating area full of natural light.

As you segue into the office, a synthetic shag piled carpet greets your toes. Attached to the workspace is a dedicated library with custom wood shelving.

Step lighting illuminates your path as you head upstairs.

One area of the house sure to knock your socks off is the bonus room, which has been converted into a miniature theatre. The ceiling is angled to amplify the surround sound, and the remote-controlled projector screen allows for life-size action.

The $30,000 media system, including RBH speakers and 7.2 surround sound, can whisper gently or make your hair stand on end.

“It’s not like a normal show home,” said Steve Seiler, co-founder of Copper Rock Homes.

Copper Rock Homes’ prices range from $650,000 to $1.5 million. The Cooper’s Crossing showhome boasts many cushy features such as a spacious tile shower complete with three shower heads in the ensuite bathroom.

With 2.5 bathrooms, three bedrooms and an array of brown paint winding its way throughout the house, it’s the custom touch that Copper Rock Homes prides itself on.

“If a client can dream of it or think of it, we can do it,” said Seiler. “The only limitation is budget.”

Copper Rock Homes is building two new phases in Cooper’s Crossing. Copper Rock Homes builds in Airdrie, Strathmore and Rocky View County.
