The Royal Canadian Legion Branch No. 288 in Airdrie commemorated the start of its annual poppy campaign with a ceremony on Oct. 24.
Local dignitaries including members of council, Mayor Peter Brown, MLA for Airdrie-East Angela Pitt were in attendance, with a special virtual guest appearance from MP Blake Richards.
