RCMP advise that all northbound traffic on Highway 2 north of Innisfail by Antler Hill is being redirected Wednesday afternoon after a tanker truck travelling on Highway 2 crashed in the morning on Antler Hill.

The detour is in place "while emergency workers remove the semi tractor trailer unit involved in the rollover," RCMP noted in a 12:51 p.m. update on April 10.

Police said an update will be provided when normal traffic flow resumes.

RCMP Cpl. Troy Savinkoff said the tanker truck crashed and rolled over on its side on Antler Hill shortly after 9 a.m. Wednesday morning.

“It had been northbound and then went into the centre meridian,” said Savinkoff, adding his reports did not say if there was any injuries.
