Nearly 900 litres of gas stolen from Northern Alberta cardlock station

RCMP in St. Paul say a blue Dodge truck pulled up to a tank in Mallaig, broke the pump and stole nearly 900 litres of gasoline.

MALLAIG, Alta. - Nearly 900 litres of gas has been reported stolen from a local cardlock station in Mallaig, Alta.

On Oct. 31 at about 9:13 a.m., St. Paul RCMP received a call reporting a theft at a cardlock gas station at 3801 2 Street in Mallaig. The theft reportedly happened sometime overnight. 

St. Paul RCMP attended the scene and found that a blue Dodge truck pulled up to a tank, broke the pump, and stole nearly 900 litres of gasoline.

"Surveillance footage of the truck was obtained, and now the RCMP are seeking the public’s assistance in identifying the vehicle involved," according to local police.

The dollar value of the gas is estimated to be about $1,300.
