The RCMP Major Crimes Unit is investigating after Lac La Biche RCMP found a man's body inside an area home on Monday.
On Tuesday, RCMP were reporting that Lac La Biche officers and members of the RCMP Emergency Response Team went to a home after receiving a request for a well-being check. Inside the home they found a deceased male.
An autopsy has been scheduled to determine how the man died.
RCMP have not released and age or description of the victim, or if anyone else was in the home or required medical attention.
Police have also not released the specific location of the incident, but a large presence of RCMP and other emergency crews were reported near a property about two kilometres south of Lac La Biche on Highway 36 on Monday. That same property was the location of a police search a little over a year ago when RCMP were attempting to locate an area man wanted in connection with the death of another man.
RCMP say an update will be sent when more information becomes available.
