Robin Knight (nee Borschneck), beloved wife of Bruce Knight, of Beiseker, AB, passed away on Sunday, July 23, 2023, at the age of 65 years.
Robin was born in Regina, SK on April 15, 1958. After many moves through different provinces, her family settled in Irricana, AB, where she met her husband Bruce, whom she married in April of 1978.
Robin pursued many academic avenues with a degree in Virtual Office Management and certificates in Event Planning and custom picture framing.
Robin had a great entrepreneurial spirit having run two successful businesses. She also worked as a Resource Assistant at Beiseker Community School for 14 years. Robin was a founding member of the Irricana Lioness Club and the Irricana Library. She was Chair of Beiseker ECS and an avid volunteer in anything her daughters were involved in.
Robin accomplished much through her life and was particularly proud of her family. She was always there to give a helping hand and was happiest spending time with her children and grandchildren. She loved vacationing with her husband Bruce when they weren’t busy working together on their family farm.
Robin enjoyed her garden, going camping with her family and friends, reading books, going with friends to a monthly Dinner Club, and taking her dogs for walks. Robin’s greatest joy was having her family live close by where they were able to enjoy daily coffees, visits and even walks back in forth to each others’ homes.
She will be most remembered for her dedication to her family. Robin was the greatest cheerleader, scorekeeper, and overall champion of whatever her husband, children and grandchildren were a part of.
Besides her loving husband Bruce, Robin is survived by her two daughters and two sons-in-laws, Emma-Leigh and Kyle Mitchell, Elysse and Markus Reicheneder all of Beiseker, AB; as well as her four grandchildren, Genevieve and Gage Mitchell, Annelise and Declan Reicheneder. Robin is also survived by her brother and sister-in-law Dean and Carol Borschneck and her cousin George Gear and his wife Janice, as well as numerous nephews, cousins, and friends. Robin was predeceased by her parents, Eileen and Vincent Borschneck.
A Celebration of Life will be held for Robin at Chapel of the Bells on Wednesday, August 2, 2023 at 2:00 p.m., 2720 Centre Street North, Calgary, AB T2E 2V6. Reception to follow in the Hospitality Centre at the Funeral Home. If friends so desire, memorial tributes may be made to a charity of the donor’s choice.
