With grateful hearts for a life well lived, the family of Margaret Brett (nee James) of Airdrie, Alberta, announces the peaceful passing of their beloved Mother and Granma on Monday August 7, 2023, at the age of 75 years.
Margaret was born in Gillingham, Kent, United Kingdom on March 26, 1948. Margaret married her beloved husband Mike in 1969 and emigrated from the United Kingdom the same year settling in Calgary, Alberta; later relocating to Airdrie, Alberta in 1996.
Margaret accomplished much though her life and was particularly proud of becoming a store and training manager at Purdy’s Chocolates. She had a passion for gardening and will be most remembered within the community of Sun Ridge for her roses and beautiful yard.
Margaret also enjoyed travelling; her most memorable vacations were visiting Italy with her husband and son Dave for three weeks in 2013 and taking a Disney cruise with Mike, her son Doug, daughter-in-law Whitney and grandsons Owen and Rhys in 2022.
Besides her loving husband Mike, Margaret is survived by her cherished sons, Doug (Whitney), Dave; grandsons, Owen and Rhys; as well as many friends here and in the UK.
