So far, the students of this Glenbow Elementary School's Grade 2 class have raised more than $7,800 through their 'Share the Love' fundraiser

Rocky View County (RVC) has announced it is now accepting applications to a national program developed by community members and delivered by local farmers to give residents an opportunity to play an active role in building a healthier environment.

On April 9 from 8:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m., BGC Airdrie Club and its Beiseker and Irricana branches will facilitate Super Mario Monday – a day in which the club's activities will centre around Mario, the popular video game character. 

A friendly hockey game between Beiseker firefighters and local RCMP officers took place in the village on March 13. The Mounties won the game, which also raised $500 for Legacy Place Society, a charity that provides transitional housing to firefighters, soldiers, veterans, and emergency medical services personnel.

Beiseker Fire Services conducted a training weekend for its approximately 80 members on March 12 and 13, which included a vehicle extrication exercise.

The St. Gabriel the Archangel Guardians senior boys' basketball team won their second consecutive Division 3 city championship on March 12.

According to a post on the Town's website, the municipality's asking price for the vacant building on the corner of Railway Street and Hammond Avenue is $459,900. 

During its regular meeting on March 7, City Council members voted unanimously in favour of setting in motion a community stakeholder working group to share both information and strategies to combat bullying in Airdrie.

Airdrie-based theatre company Nose Creek Players is preparing to take the stage at a one-act play festival in Okotoks on April 1 and 2 at the Rotary Performing Arts Centre.

Homestead Market just south of Airdrie hosted the Spring Fling on March 12, offering shoppers the chance to peruse a variety of homemade and locally crafted items.
