The 2022-23 high-school basketball season is officially in the books, and four Airdrie teams went the distance, qualifying for and competing at their respective provincial championship tournaments.

Airdrie Music Lesson owner Anthony Burbidge stopped by the Airdrie Food Bank on March 17 to drop off some food collected at his company's recent recital and an additional cheque for $1,000. Food Bank programs manager Meghan West (left) accepted the donation on her organization's behalf.

According to the Dinos, Olsen registered a team-high 258 kills, 152 digs, 40 blocks, and 28 service aces this season. She recorded double-digit kills in 13 of her games, and was also just one of three Dinos members to play all 99 sets the team took to the floor for this season. 

Tim Massé is officially calling it a career at the end of March, after a nearly 30-year teaching and coaching career at George McDougall High School.

“It just felt like we lost our scoring touch there in the last couple of games,” said Buckle.

The Langdon Robotics teams usually have between 12 and 20 students from grades 4 to 8 who take part in the extracurricular activity each school year.

“Different vendors that are available here in Chestermere get together for a public night, so the community and the public can come in and see what is in and around here and what we have to offer,” explained Matheson.  

The Calgary Highland Dance Association hosted its Chinook Open Championship at the Polaris Centre for the Performing Arts in Balzac on March 18. Dancers competed in various themed dances such as the "Sword Dance", "Chartreuse" and others.
