RVS announces new Glenbow Elementary School principal

Fraser Montgomery will transfer from his role as principal at Beiseker Community School to take the helm at Cochrane's Glenbow Elementary School. Rocky View Schools (RVS) announced Montgomery's appointment, along with two others, in a press release May 16.

According to the press release, "Montgomery has devoted the last 33 years to RVS." During that time, he has taught at the elementary level at Beiseker and R.J. Hawkey in Airdrie, and at the middle and high school levels at W.G. Murdoch School in Crossfield. Before assuming his current position as principle of Beiseker Community School in 2012, he served as assistant principal of Airdrie's Ralph McCall School for five years.

Montgomery holds both a master of education with a focus on educational leadership and a bachelor of arts from the University of Calgary, and a bachelor of education from the University of Lethbridge.

The staffing change will take effect in August. In the press release, RVS said the Montgomery's replacement at Beiseker Community School will be announced soon.
