Rocky View County (RVC) council unanimously approved three subdivision applications during a regular meeting Nov. 26.

The first application created a 10-acre parcel with a 145.38-acre remainder east of Beiseker, senior planner Stefan Kunz said. The lands will be used for an agribusiness – Richardson International Limited will relocate from its existing facility in Beiseker. The operation, council heard at an associated public hearing in September, will include a dry fertilizer blending system, a liquid chemical storage shed and an office building

The second – a residential subdivision, according to Manager of Planning and Development Services Matthew Wilson – creates a 2.14-acre parcel with a 2.71-acre remainder southwest of Airdrie, south of Highway 566 and on the east side of Valley View Road.

A third application resulted in a 33-acre parcel with a 106.06-acre remainder east of Airdrie, south of Big Hill Springs Road and on the east side of Range Road 22. According to Wilson, redesignation and subdivision for the site were previously approved in 2017, but the applicant did not fulfill the conditions of approval and had to resubmit the application.

Couns. Mark Kamachi and Kim McKylor were absent for the subdivision applications.
