Rocky View County to experience chilly temperatures on Monday

Cold temperatures are likely across Rocky View County today and tonight, according to AccuWeather.

In the Redwood Meadows area, some light snow is expected throughout the morning, but the cloudy skies are likely to stick around even after the flurries stop. The daytime high will top out at 0 C, with a wind chill of -3 C, before dipping to a low of -13 C overnight. 

Chestermere may see an additional centimetre or two of accumulated snow on Monday with a high of 0 C (-1 C with the wind chill), but can prepare for a chilly evening – the overnight low of -8 C is forecast to break the record of -7 C set in 1925. Partly cloudy skies will continue into Tuesday.

While Crossfield might not experience any more snow, it will stay cold and cloudy throughout the day. The daytime high is expected to hover at 0 C, then cool to an overnight low of -9 C, or -11 C with the wind chill. 

Some snow is predicted for the Cochrane area on Monday morning, along with a high of 0 C and cloudy skies. In the evening, the temperature will drop to a low of -13 C, with skies remaining partly cloudy.
