PHOTOS: Motorists rip around Ghost Lake ice tracks

Hundreds of people, including racers from the Faster Higher drift team, drove out to Ghost Lake Jan. 9 for a Sunday fun day of snaking around the twisted ice tracks.

Tents, camping chairs and fire-pits kept spectators comfortable while watching motorists of all skill levels and vehicle-types take on the turns, spitting up snow in their wake.

Many of the more skilled or well-equipped for the snow and ice lapped the first of the two tracks, a 2.4 kilometre stretch plowed by a member of the drift team, while others kept to a more recently plowed, shorter and less windy track.
