Cochrane RCMP received multiple reports of three prowlers near parked vehicles in Bow Meadows, early in the morning Sept. 10, according to a release from the detachment.

"Enroute to this area, police located a 2004 Dodge Caravan driving erratically and with a flat tire," the release stated. "The van was stopped and the driver, a 20 year-old female resident of Morley, Alberta, was investigated for impaired driving."

Police then arrived in Bow Meadows and located and arrested two adult males who were searching for unlocked vehicles to steal items out of, police said.

A 23 year-old male and a 25 year-old male, both residents of Morley, were arrested and held for further investigation, according to RCMP.

Cochrane RCMP reminds residents "to secure your belongings by locking car doors and keeping valuables away from prowling eyes."
