Cochrane RCMP names arrestee in Bearspaw School knife altercation

According to an update from Cochrane RCMP, charges have now been laid in an assault that occurred at Bearspaw School in west Rocky View County earlier this week, where an adult victim was threatened with a knife.

In a press release on March 17, RCMP reported that Dai Shi (36), a resident of Calgary, has been charged with assault with a weapon and possession of a weapon for a dangerous purpose.

After her March 14 arrest, Dai Shi was released on conditions and is next scheduled to appear on April 4 in Cochrane Provincial Court.

"As these matters are now before the courts, no further updates or details surrounding the incident will be provided," concluded the RCMP's press release.
