Bragg Creek, Tsuu T'ina could see up to 30 cm of snow

Snow Day 070

Environment Canada issued a snowfall warning for Bragg Creek and Tsuu T’ina Nation outlining an expected snowfall accumulation between 10 and 30 centimetres in some location.

The warning, issued shortly after 10:30 a.m. Nov. 5, said a band of snow will continued to bring significant snowfall amounts to the Alberta foothills.

“Higher amounts [of snow accumulation] are possible over higher terrain,” the release stated.

Snowfall is expected to continue throughout the day before tapering off in the afternoon in northern regions, and by Wednesday morning in southern regions.

The release reminds residents to adjust driving to the changing road conditions.

“If visibility is reduced while driving, slow down, watch for tail lights ahead and be prepared to stop,” Environment Canada said. “Take frequent breaks and avoid strain when clearing snow."
