Dear editor,
I just want to say thank you to all the City of Airdrie parks department employees who clean the pathways and empty the garbage cans.
I walk dogs in Airdrie every day and am impressed and grateful that the parks staff are aware of dogs being reactive to their vehicles. I have encountered multiple staff that will stop and turn off the engine of their vehicle to let the dog pass by.
I also see how full the garbage bins are of poop bags. The garbage smells awful no matter what time of year. The staff who collect them in the warm months of the year deserve a medal of bravery!
Thank you City parks staff for the great job you do every day to make Airdrie a great community to live for dog owners.
