Letter: In response to Kevin Tennant's letter

It is interesting to note that the learned inhabitant of Airdrie has stated that he'd avoid anyone wearing a mask because "they are admitting to either knowing they are infected or cannot be trusted to know their own health status." I submit that this gentleman does not actually know his own health status, since he can have the COVID-19 virus and still be asymptomatic.

Re: “People wearing face masks should be avoided,” letter, May 13, Airdrie City View

Dear editor,

It is interesting to note that the learned inhabitant of Airdrie has stated that he'd avoid anyone wearing a mask because "they are admitting to either knowing they are infected or cannot be trusted to know their own health status." I submit that this gentleman does not actually know his own health status, since he can have the COVID-19 virus and still be asymptomatic. Only a COVID-19 test would determine that. I'd therefore avoid this man like the plague.

People telling me to put on a mask is like telling me to please be considerate of others who may not have such a robust immunity as mine.
