Re: "Airdrie-East MLA says she no longer has confidence in Premier Kenney," article, Sept. 7, Airdrie City View
I agree with Airdrie-East MLA Angela Pitt – I have also lost all confidence in Premier and UCP Leader Jason Thomas Kenney. It's like Alberta Liberals used to say about Raj Sherman when they got frustrated with him and wanted him to go: "Raj Sherman isn't a leader, he isn't even a follower!" The same thought most certainly applies to Kenney.
It is one thing for UCP MLAs like Pitt, who is also Deputy Speaker, to say she's frustrated with the premier's leadership. I am, however, a paid-up, grassroots member of the UCP in Edmonton-Glenora. When the MLA for Calgary-Lougheed starts losing the membership at large, he's truly lost the confidence of the people.
It is time for him to stand down and make way for an interim premier, such as occurred in Manitoba.
