Dear editor,
I'm writing this letter because it's nice to hear good news and I have always been the type of person to pass it forward, whether it's buying someone's coffee, groceries or nominating families for something.
A few weeks ago, karma came back to me in the form of a man named Chima. First and foremost, I'm a stay-at-home mom of a nine-year-old, a two-year-old and a one-year-old that I home school. I also home-school a friend's son. Needless to say, life is very busy.
On a recent Wednesday, I went shopping at the Superstore in Airdrie and rushed home. I got unpacked, got my baby down for a nap, sat down and tried to complete some homework when all of a sudden my doorbell rang. The first thing that popped into my head was that I didn't remember ordering anything from Amazon.
Anyway, I answered the door to a man standing there. He asked if I was Ashley and I said yes. Then, he handed me my wallet, which I had left in the cart at Superstore. He had found my wallet and driven all the way to my house to drop it off for me.
I bawled like a baby and thanked him up and down for his generosity. I asked him if it was OK to tell the story using his name and he said yes. Later, I made him a gift basket of goodies as a further showing of my gratitude.
It's good to know there are still good people out there.
