Stefan Tivadar

Stefan Tivadar, beloved husband of Matilda Tivadar of Langdon, passed away at Carewest Dr. Vernon Fanning on Monday, June 14, 2021 at the age of 85 years.
Besides his beloved wife Matilda Tivadar (nee Ifko) of Langdon, Stefan is survived by daughter Matilda (Don) Morton of Langdon, granddaughter Alexandra Morton of Bieseker, AB and his son Joseph Tivadar of Langdon, AB. Stefan is also survived by his sisters Barica (Miran) Tobias and Toncka Spilak both of Slovenia as well as nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by his parents father Stefan Tivadar and mother Marija Tivadar (nee Antolin), sister Maria Densca and brother Jozef Tivadar.
Born to Marija Tivadar (nee Antolin) and Stefan Tivadar in Turnisca, Slovenia. Stefan came to Calgary, Canada in 1966 with his wife and daughter. He worked hard as a carpenter and contractor while building and running the family farm. Farming was his main passion, he lovingly raised cattle, hay and grain at the family farm he established with his wife, Matilda, at Langdon, Alberta, Canada. He often reminisced about growing up in Turnisce, Slovenia: his family, adventures, growing grapes, making wine, cutting hay with the scythe and pasturing cattle. Stefan was a lifelong member of the Catholic Church and enjoyed being a member of the church choir, praying the rosary, reading, socializing and singing at the Slovenian Canadian Club of Calgary.
