Ruth Schmaltz beloved wife of Baltser Schmaltz of Airdrie formerly of Beiseker, AB passed away on Tuesday, December 17, 2019 at the age of 96 years.
Ruth was a member of the St. Mary’s Parish (Beiseker, AB), CWL, Beiseker Curling Club and Airdrie Bowling League. Ruth volunteered for the Recreation Board (Village of Beiseker) and the Beiseker Seniors Club.
Besides her loving husband, Ruth is survived by her daughter and son-in-law, Linda and Doug Skuce of Calgary; five grandchildren, Gary, Sherry, and Jim Brown, Corinne Fisher and Corwin Skuce; seven great-grandchildren, Kristi Reid, Jessica Reid, Charlotte Fisher, Brianna Brown, Jaida Skuce, Gabrielle Fisher, and Tayden Skuce; one great-great grand-daughter Zoie Gordon; and sister Jean Dirk.
Ruth was predeceased by her daughter Dian Tindall; three brothers Raymond, Jack, and George Goodrich; and a sister Mary Marik.
Funeral Services were held at the Bethany Care Centre (1736 1 Ave NW, Airdrie, AB) on Saturday, December 28, 2019 at 1:00 p.m. Reception to follow at the Care Centre. Condolences, memories and photos may be shared and viewed on Ruth’s obituary at www.McInnisandHolloway.com.
