QMJHL Roundup: Beaucage scores four goals in 5-4 OT Rouyn-Noranda win over Val D'or

ROUYN-NORANDA, Que. — Alex Beaucage scored four times as the Rouyn-Noranda Huskies vanquished the Val-d'Or Foreurs 5-4 in Rouyn-Noranda on Saturday afternoon.

The Colorado Avalanche's 2019 third-round draft choice scored a natural hat trick in the third period, rallying his team from a 4-1 deficit to force overtime. Beaucage would later score the overtime winner at 3:03 of the period. 

Beaucage is now second in the league in goals with 13. Donovan Arsenault also scored for the Huskies.

Olivier Picard, Justin Robidas, Justin Ducharme and Marshall Lessard scored for the Foreurs.

Samuel Richard turned aside 36 shots for Rouyn-Noranda. William Blackburn turned aside 25 shots for Val-d'Or. 

Val-d'Or outshot Rouyn-Noranda 40-30.

The Huskies (4-4-2) went 1-for-3 on the power play. The Foreurs (5-1-3) went 2-for-5 with the man advantage.

OCEANIC 3 DRAKKAR 2

BAIE-COMEAU, Que. -- The Rimouski Oceanic defeated the Baie-Comeau Drakkar 3-2 in Baie-Comeau on Saturday afternoon. Mikael Martel supplied the game winning goal for the Oceanic at 15:57 of the third period. Samy Paré and Andrew Coxhead also scored for the Oceanic.

WILDCATS 5 TITAN 3

MONCTON, N.B. -- The Moncton Wildcats vanquished the Acadie-Bathurst Titan 5-3 in Moncton on Saturday evening. Gabriel Bernier racked up the game winning goal for the Wildcats at 15:02 of the third period. Gabriel Fortier, Yoan Loshing, Francesco Iasenza and Sean Stewart also scored for the Wildcats.

ISLANDERS 4 EAGLES 3

CHARLOTTETOWN -- Cédric Desruisseaux scored twice as the Charlottetown Islanders defeated the Cape Breton Eagles 4-3 in Charlottetown on Saturday evening. Noah Laaouan chipped in the game winning power play goal for the Islanders at 10:02 of the third period. Thomas Casey also scored for the Islanders.

SEA DOGS 4 MOOSEHEADS 3 (SO)

SAINT JOHN, N.B. -- Jérémie Poirier scored a hat trick as the Saint John Sea Dogs sunk the Halifax Mooseheads in a 4-3 shootout win in Saint John Saturday evening. Alex Drover scored the shootout winner for the Sea Dogs.
