Good defence and great goaltending often win championships.

Arm wrestling will take centre stage in Airdrie this weekend, as the provincial championships and high school challenge will run at Genesis Place, June 5. Weigh-ins will take place from 10:30 a.m. to 12:30 p.m.

The Airdrie Thunder was swept from the Heritage Junior B playoffs with a 6-3 loss to the Blackfalds Wranglers, March 14. The loss ended the Thunder’s drive to the final for the first time since 2006.
