The Airdrie-Cochrane Avalanche minor midget hockey team defeated the NWCAA Bruins 8-2 in Cochrane, Dec. 4. Mackenzie Bauer led the team with two goals and three assists and Connor Boyd followed up with two goals and an assist.

The Rocky View Sports Association (RVSA) 2011 high school football season came to an end, Nov. 28, with the annual football banquet. The ceremony was hosted at George McDougall High School and honoured the league’s standout teams and players.
