The 2014 Alberta Summer Games Selection Committee visited Airdrie April 18, and was greeted by hundreds of residents, students and potential athletes.

Boys ages seven to nine are invited to a season of soccer hosted by local woman Debbie Di Vetta. First held last year, Di Vetta found that offering a free season of soccer in the community gives young boys something to do during the summer months.

Astoria Asset Management Ltd. will be holding their annual charity golf tournament, June 19 at the Woodside Golf Course in Airdrie. Now in it’s fifth year, proceeds from the tournament will once again benefit the Airdrie Food Bank.

The Northern Raiders Midget Football Club lost its third straight game April 19, to the Calgary Stampeders at Shouldice Athletic Park in Calgary.

The newly relocated Knights of Airdrie played an exhibition game in Crossfield April 18, losing to the Calgary Junior A Mounties club 6-5.

Jazzercise will be coming to Crossfield May 1, and a local resident will offer a multitude of programs at the Trickt Out Gymnastics Club.
