Irricana CAO Alvin Melton confirmed a number of Irricana Town employees lost their jobs as a result of budget cuts, but refused to tell a group of about 80 residents which positions had been chopped, June 4.

Rocky View County council unanimously voted to contribute $9,021 to repairs to the Weedon Pioneer Community Hall, June 5.

Administration suggested Irricana develop a three-year budget for the years 2013-2015. Council voted down the motion saying the decision would be better made by the new council, which will be in place in 2013. The decision was unanimous.
