Potential nominees for the Wildrose Airdrie riding participated in a meet-and-greet event at Airdrie’s Hampton Inn and Suites on Feb. 17, answering questions and networking with local Wildrose supporters.

Premier Jim Prentice made stops in Airdrie and Chestermere on Feb. 14 in an effort to meet with Albertans and find out how they feel about the upcoming budget announcement.

At the Jan. 27 regular meeting, Rocky View County (RVC) council unanimously approved a request from Springbank Park for All Seasons Agricultural Society to grant landowner consent to submit a development permit application.

Chestermere RCMP is looking for help to identify two men who are alleged to have broken into a home in the beaches area off West Chestermere Drive on Jan. 23, according to Staff Sergeant Glenn Henry.

On Feb. 5 the Wildrose nomination for Olds-Didsbury-Three Hill was announced and Town of Carstairs Councillor Nathan Cooper will be the Wildrose candidate for the constituency.
