UPDATE: The weather warning was cancelled at 2:22 p.m., Feb. 11, as "the conditions prompting this warning have improved," according to Environment Canada.
Environment Canada has issued a weather warning for Airdrie, Crossfield, Bottrel, Madden, Irricana, Beiseker and Kathyrn, as heavy bands of snow are moving through Central Alberta.
"Visibility will be greatly reduced while under these bands, in some cases to less than 500 metres, and snow will accumulate quickly," the warning states. "Overall snowfall amounts will likely approach 10 to 15 centimetres, however the bulk of that snow has already fallen and the low visibility is the main hazard at this time."
