Saturday sun in the forecast before rain moves in

Airdrie residents can expect a rainy weekend, with the potential for a bit of sunshine.

Saturday will start off with a 30 per cent chance of precipitation and a mix of sun and cloud. The daytime high is expected to reach 21 C, but showers are predicted to start moving in during the afternoon, when there is the potential for thunderstorm activity. Overnight, the low could drop to 9 C, and rain is likely to continue.

The rain won't ease up on Sunday, which is forecast for a high of 16 C with a 60 per cent chance of precipitation throughout the day. In the evening, the temperature will dip to 9 C, with showers expected to ease up sometime Monday morning.
