Update: A Feb. 28 RCMP release indicated the suspect has been identified.

Airdrie Rural RCMP are investigating the second theft of a donation box this month from a Tim Horton’s located in CrossIron Mills mall.

A Feb. 27 press release from the detachment stated a man entered the restaurant around 1:20 p.m. on the afternoon of Feb. 11 and walked up to the front counter.

“He then placed a rubber chicken over the donation box to conceal it and left the business,” the release stated.

The suspect is described as a Caucasian male who was wearing a blue sweater or jacket and a black balaclava, and was holding the aforementioned rubber chicken.

Anyone with information on this investigation is asked to call Airdrie RCMP at 403-945-7200 or your local police. To remain anonymous, contact Crime Stoppers at 1-800-222-8477 (TIPS), P3Tips.com or by using the "P3 Tips" app available through the Apple App or Google Play Store.
