Airdrie RCMP responded to an incident in Crossfield, where a 16-year-old male reported he was the victim of an armed carjacking around noon on May 18, according to a press release.

The teenager was approached by two males, according to RCMP, who allegedly produced a handgun before taking the victim’s cell phone and vehicle.

The teen's vehicle, the release states, is a dark grey Subaru Impreza with the Alberta license plate GEJ 133.

RCMP said both suspects are indigenous males. One is described as having a wide face and was wearing a vest, hoodie and Nike sneakers. The second suspect is described as having a thin face, a chipped front tooth and was wearing a blue T-shirt.

"The 16-year-old male was not hurt during the incident," according to RCMP.

The incident remains under investigation and RCMP said no further information is available at this time.

"Should you encounter this vehicle, please don no approach," the release read. "Call your local police or 911 immediately."
