Airdrie RCMP has taken one person into custody and is looking for others involved in reports of an active shooting with BB guns.
According to a Sept. 18 press release, the incident has led to multiple people being injured from at least six different locations.
"RCMP has businesses in a 'shelter in place' in the downtown core," the release stated. Anyone in the downtown/midtown communities are asked to stay inside."
The situation is unfolding, and RCMP will release additional information when it is available.
