Brenda Valerio will be the new principal of Meadowbrook Middle School as of Aug. 26.
“Brenda is the perfect fit for the principalship of Meadowbrook Middle,” said Rocky View Schools’ (RVS) Superintendent of Schools Greg Bass.
“She has proven that she possesses strong 21st Century leadership skills and has the ability to build positive and lasting relationships with staff, students, parents and other members of the school community. I know she will excel in this new role.”
Valerio joined RVS in 2003 as a Divisional Facilitator in Curriculum and Instruction. In addition to her role with RVS, Valerio works as an Instructor of Gifted Education for Chinook College. Prior to her arrival in the jurisdiction, she worked with the Calgary Catholic and Grande Prairie school boards.
“On behalf of the board of trustees, I extend my congratulations to Brenda,” said Board Chair Sylvia Eggerer.
“I am excited that she will move into a leadership role in my own riding of Airdrie; I look forward to welcoming her.”
