Man posing as contractor steals equipment

Airdrie Rural RCMP are investigating after a man allegedly posed as a contractor removing snow to avoid detection as he stole equipment from a Balzac business.

According to police, the incident occurred sometime between 1:48 and 3:55 a.m. March 25.

After gaining entry to the business, said RCMP, the man "proceeded to hook up an orange-and-black Kabota trailer to his truck, which was carrying a black Kabota side by side" and drove away.

"He was driving a two-tone Ford pickup truck (possibly black and silver), which may have damage to a rear light," the March 30 release stated.

"He was carrying a snow blower and was wearing a reflective jacket," RCMP said.
