Calgary police asking public to help find missing mom, child

The Calgary Police Service (CPS) is asking for the public’s help to locate a woman and her daughter, who have not been heard from in over a week, according to a press release.

Calgary Police Services is now investigating the disappearance of Jasmine Lovett and Aliyah Sanderson as homicides.

The Calgary Police Service (CPS) is asking for the public’s help to locate a woman and her daughter, who have not been heard from in over a week, according to a press release.

Jasmine Lovett and Aliyah Sanderson live in southeast Calgary in the community of Cranston and usually have regular contact with their family, according to CPS, but it is believed that no one has heard from them since  April 16. They were reported missing April 23, the release stated, and investigators have been unable to locate them.

Jasmine is described as being in her mid-20s, 5’4”,  with a slim build, brown hair and brown eyes. Aliyah is almost two years old, approximately 3’, with a slim build, brown eyes and brown hair.

Anyone with information on the whereabouts of either Jasmine or Aliyah are asked to contact police by calling 403-266-1234. Tips can also be left anonymously by contacting Crime Stoppers at 1-800-222-8477 or calgarycrimestoppers.org

Updated April 23 to include the misreported name of Aliyah Sanderson. CPS originally stated her surname was the same as her mother. As of April 23, CPS is investigating the incident as homicides.
