The Balzac-Calgary branch of Moody’s Equipment won New Holland Agriculture’s award. The branch attained the highest levels of excellence in facilities, business management, sales, parts and services and customer satisfaction.

Moody’s Equipment in Balzac has won New Holland Agriculture’s Award, a top honour for customer service and satisfaction.

The award was presented to branch manager Cyd Gyug and his team on April 20 at their Balzac office.

For Gyug, winning the award is a welcome recognition for the hard work his team has put in over the years.

“All our people keep up to date on the latest of changes,” said Gyug.

Customers fill out questionnaires and rate suppliers based on the service they receive.

“(Customer service) is such a key thing,” said Gyug.

Staff at Moody’s Equipment is constantly upgrading skills and taking online tutorials to maintain an edge on industry developments.

“It’s so the people are the best qualified and most up-to-date that you can find,” said Gyug. “You want people to have as many of the answers as they can possible get.”

This is the first award for an Alberta-based Moody’s Equipment company and it takes time and effort to win such an award, according to Gerry Popplewell, Moody’s Equipment marketing coordinator.

“It’s not a guarantee that everyone gets this award,” said Popplewell. “Sales and service has to maintain certain standards in New Holland’s eyes to receive this award. It’s not one of those things they just hand out, you have to earn it.”
