Airdrie RCMP investigating armed robbery at East Lake Petro-Canada

Airdrie RCMP are investigating an armed robbery that occurred at the Petro-Canada at 190 East Lake Crescent NE two weeks ago. The detachment stated a lone male entered the gas station on March 30 at approximately 4 a.m. with a knife.

The detachment stated a lone male entered the gas station on March 30 at approximately 4 a.m. and approached the employee at the till. The suspect produced a black knife, according to RCMP, before demanding money. He fled the area in a white vehicle that was driven by another unknown suspect.

On Mar. 30, 2021, at approximately 3:58 a.m., a lone male entered the store and approached the employee at the till.  The suspect produced a black knife, demanded money and fled the area in a white vehicle driven by another unknown suspect.

Based on surveillance footage, the suspect is described as being a darker-skinned male with dark eyes in his 20s. He stood approximately 5'6" with a medium build and wore a dark hoodie, blue track pants with thin white stripes down the legs and white Nike sneakers.
