Airdrie RCMP is warning the public about potential harm for their pets, after discovering peculiar deposits of raw meat.
On Jan. 16 at approximately 11 a.m, Airdrie RCMP officers were called to a suspicious finding in the Ravenswood neighborhood. According to a press release from the detachment, "several pieces of raw meat with rice" were located on all four corners of various intersections in the neighbourhood.
"Along with the raw meat, there was a one dollar coin (loonie) located," the release stated. "RCMP are unsure why the meat and loonies were left in these specific areas, so please take extra precaution when walking with pets or children."
RCMP are now warning the public to keep their pets in their yards and on a leash while outside.
