Airdrie RCMP made two arrests July 21, following a drug and weapons investigation in Rocky View County.
According to a press release from Airdrie RCMP, the drugs seized included 24.07 grams of cocaine and 7.13 grams of suspected fentanyl, along with 5,080 cigarettes containing illegal, un-stamped tobacco.
RCMP also seized $14,260 in Canadian currency and a collapsible police baton, the release stated.
A 32-year-old male and 31-year-old female were arrested on-scene and face multiple charges, including possession for the purpose of trafficking cocaine and fentanyl, possession of proceeds of crime, possession of un-stamped tobacco and possession of a dangerous weapon.
The pair will appear in Airdrie Provincial Court July 25.
According to RCMP, as the investigation is ongoing, no further information will be released at this time.
