98 new cases of COVID-19 in Alberta, one more death

Three hundred sixty-one people have recovered from COVID-19 in Alberta, the province reported Monday.

On Monday afternoon, Alberta chief medical officer of health Dr. Deena Hinshaw said another person died overnight from the virus, bringing the total number of people who have died from the illness in Alberta to 24.

A woman in her 80s in the Calgary Zone who lived at the McKenzie Towne long-term care facility died overnight. She was the 11th person who passed away in that facility from COVID-19.

There are currently 1,348 cases of COVID-19 in the province, 98 more than Sunday.

Across the province, 204 cases are suspected to be from community transmission.
