Letters to the Editor

No excuse for mail mishap

Dear Editor, For those of us from Airdrie with rural route mail, the last few weeks – to say the least – have been frustrating.

Unreliable mail service for Keoma residents

Dear Editor, Canada Post's mandate is to deliver the mail in a timely manner. Keoma is the exception, we guess. No formal notice or publication was given. A vague address question six months ago was it. We complied, and it made no difference.

Highlighting the importance of safety

RE: “ Crossfield student reminds kids to PLAYSAFE ,” article, Nov. 6.

No excuse for mail mishap

Dear Editor, For those of us from Airdrie with rural route mail, the last few weeks – to say the least – have been frustrating.

In defence of RVC council

RE: Oct. 26 Rocky View Weekly poll question, " Are you concerned with Rocky View County council’s procedural knowledge?" Dear Editor, I feel the above-mentioned survey result was very harsh.

New Horizon benefits from taxpayers

RE: " New Horizon vacancies not a surprise ," article, Oct. 9. Dear Editor, If I was the developer of the New Horizon Mall, I would be happy and optimistic, too.

Against daylight saving

Dear Editor, The NDP brought in the carbon tax to near-universal opposition. They raised the minimum wage despite opposition from many businesses and business groups.

Kings Heights bus shelter location unsafe

Dear Editor, The new bus shelter recently installed on the entrance to Kings Heights Boulevard is located in a hazardous spot. It is now very difficult to see what traffic is coming when exiting out of Kingsland Close.

Frustrated by roaming cats

Dear Editor, Fair warning to the irresponsible cat owners in Kings Heights – I will be picking up animal trap cages provided by the City of Airdrie. Your cats are using our backyard as their personal bathrooms.

RVC firefighters not true volunteers

Dear Editor, I thought it time to clarify some misinformation seen in last week’s publication. In the Fire Prevention Week spread of firefighter group photos, some were titled by station and shift, some were titled volunteer.
