Re: “New school should come before theatre expansion” LTE Oct. 22 Dear editor, Some of the statements in Victoria Brodie’s letter are misleading and I would like to offer clarification.

Dear editor, Thank you Crossfield and congratulations to mayor-elect Nathan Anderson. Running for mayor, has for me, been a most rewarding experience.

Dear editor, The 2010 civic elections are finished, and across the province, 150 public school trustees are celebrating successful campaigns and local democracy. But with the elections over, the real work is about to begin.

Re: “The Disconnect,” Editorial, Oct. 22 Dear editor, Just to ensure that the record is set straight, none of the candidates floated a 12 per cent tax increase for 2011 as was strongly suggested by some incumbents.

Dear editor, Election evening was an exciting time to hear what the voters had to say. Now that the ballots have been counted and re-counted it’s business as usual at City Hall with four new faces.

Dear editor, On Oct. 13 at 3 a.m., Raymond and Vickie Renaud’s home went up in flames. Ray, Vicky and their 13-year-old son Logan barely escaped with their lives for which they are thankful.

Re: “Bert Church Theatre considers expansion” Sept. 24 Dear editor, A recent newspaper article in regards to expansion of the Bert Church Theatre is something citizens of Airdrie should be aware of taking a strong look at it.

Re: “Wanted: A mayor with experience,” LTE Oct. 8. Dear editor, If the electorate always went with the most experienced, there would never be a change in governance.

Dear editor, In July 2010, local papers reported that the City moved against a condo project for having unresolved issues and a messy site.

Dear editor, I am a geek. I love elections. I think that it is a combination of interest in the candidates, their interpretations on issues, and their proposed solutions.
